Sessional ED dietitian job description

To carry out comprehensive individualised dietetic assessments for clients admitting onto the ED programme, using MEED guidelines to assess refeeding risk and to follow life works refeeding protocol. To advise on and agree nutritionally balanced meal plans for clients taking into account any diagnosed medical conditions and allowing for refeeding risk if applicable. Monitor clients’ weight and adjust meal plans in relation to this. To provide weekly dietetic reviews for clients on ED programme where any queries can be addressed, meal plans completed and to give copies of these to therapies/nursing/kitchen. Complete notes from dietetic assessments/reviews and send to referring consultant and upload onto central note keeping system. Liaise with other members of the MDT to discuss clients’ care and ensure best support is being given. To provide outpatient dietetic assessments/meal planning/reviews.
