Priory Hospital Cardiff are are recruiting for Bank Staff Nurses to join our team.
Priory Hospital Cardiff is a modern mental health treatment unit. The unit includes a variety of facilities, such as three secure gardens, a gym, a hydrotherapy pool, patient practice kitchens, patient social area, art rooms and dedicated support service areas.
The service is currently being developed to provide bespoke treatment packages for a variety of patients with complex mental health needs. The unit will provide a modern, homely environment promoting independence, whilst employing an experienced mutli-disciplinary team to oversee and support patient progress.
As a Bank Staff Nurse you will be working within a team that includes a range of professionals.
You will be central to providing high quality care within a locked, specialised mental health rehabilitation and recovery setting. The patient group consists of Personality Disorder, Learning Disability and Enduring Mental Illness.
As a bank worker you will offer your services on an as and when required basis.
As a Bank Staff Nurse you will be supervising Healthcare Workers on your shift and encouraging group work within your shift.
You will be responsible for administering medication to patients and monitoring the patients mental health throughout the shift.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Abilities
- Registered nurse with active NMC PIN
- Relevant clinical experience
- Demonstrates a positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement and quality
- Ability to develop and use flexible and innovative approaches to practise.
- Excellent verbal , interpersonal and written communication skills
Our shift patterns are;
- Day shifts – 07:30 to 19:45
- Night shifts – 19:30 to 07:45
