Job Advert Location Description

To co-ordinate and lead on the quality and management of nursing care, patient care and the clinical environment within a nursing unit. Manage and direct the delivery of clinical services within a unit, ensuring it complies with statutory regulations, current legislation and meets quality standards. The Unit Lead for Nursing/ Dementia will provide clinical leadership and expertise to all colleagues on shift as required, assuming the role of nurse-in-charge whilst on duty. Participate fully with the multidisciplinary team and undertake direct patient care.

Knowledge / Education / Skills

It is essential that you be a First level NMC Registered Nurse The expectation is that you maintain your clinical knowledge with regular updating of skills through CPD and attending the necessary courses. You will be albe ot evidence tht the requirements of revalidation have been met

NVQ Level 3 is preferred, but it is essential that you are educated to a minimum GCSE/NVQ 2 or above (or similar qualification) with a good standard of English.
