Job Advert - Division Information

We are currently seeking a motivated, experienced, and fully BACP/BABCP/UKCP accredited therapist or HCPC registered therapist/psychologist to lead our private outpatient therapy provision for children and young people.

The role will include leading a small team of therapists with a range of different theoretical backgrounds and previous training and experience of supervising others is essential.

The successful candidate will have at least three-years post-qualification experience of working with children and young people with a range of mental health issues.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the oversight and provision of outpatient assessment and treatment for children and young people seeking both 1:1 and group therapy with our service.

Applicants will be required to:

- Oversee our private CAMHS outpatient therapy service provided to patients ensuring they receive appropriate care and treatment.

- Be involved in the continued review and development of our private CAMHS outpatient therapy service and to ensure that the service meets the relevant compliance standards.

- Ensure the effective management of the private CAMHS outpatient therapy team, inclusive of managerial supervision, the management of annual leave, sickness, annual Performance Development Reviews, and monthly team meetings.

- Be responsible for organising and prioritising own clinical workload (working at least 50% of their contracted hours as clinical hours).

- Encourage and support the development of multi-disciplinary teamwork within the service.

- Join monthly Clinical Governance Committee meetings and provide a report on any progress updates, feedback, or development where relevant.

- Be available to support the Therapy Business Manager with specialist projects and clinical guidance where required.

- Ensure that own clinical supervision is accessed in accordance with professional registration.

This role will require the successful candidate to be based at the hospital due to the demand for in-person therapy for this patient group.
