Job Advert Role Description

Burston House is located South Norfolk, close to the Suffolk border and in the beautiful Waveney Valley.

The hospital provides specialist care to patients with a learning disability, with mental health needs, behaviours that challenge or offending behaviours. The setting includes low secure beds and an exciting recently opened locked rehabilitation service.

We're thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity to be a part of our brand-new team at Priory Healthcare Burston House. We're seeking friendly and passionate individuals who are ready to take on a dual role as a Receptionist & Workforce Coordinator.

Receptionist Responsibilities:

•  Be the welcoming face of our facility, greeting guests, patients, suppliers, and staff with warmth and professionalism.

•  Handle incoming calls and direct inquiries efficiently.

•  Manage administrative tasks such as patient transport arrangements and procurement orders.

•  Maintain security protocols including key management and CCTV monitoring.

•  Ensure the reception area remains clean, tidy, and reflects our commitment to excellence.

 

Workforce Coordinator Responsibilities:

•  Collaborate with Ward Managers to ensure optimal staffing levels, planning shifts well in advance.

•  Coordinate with internal employees, bank workers, and agency staff to fill staffing gaps.

•  Take the lead in filling short-term vacancies, prioritising coverage for sickness and other unforeseen circumstances.

•  Manage purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner.

•  Negotiate long-term staffing solutions as needed.

 

To Succeed in These Roles, We're Looking For Someone Who Has:

•  A good standard of education with GCSE or equivalent qualifications in Maths and English.

•  Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.

•  Possess exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

•  Strong administrative and organisational skills.

•  Someone who is proactive and able to handle time-sensitive situations with ease.

•  Initiative and the ability to work autonomously.

•  A keen eye for detail and a flexible approach to problem-solving.

• The ability to remain equable in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

 

Experience Desired:

•  While experience in rota management and healthcare is beneficial, it's not essential as training will be provided.

•  Previous experience in standalone roles and dynamic environments is advantageous.

 

Working Hours:

The role involves working on a rotational basis, including weekdays, weekends, and bank holidays.

Shift times are from 06:30 to 14:00 and 13:30 to 21:00, with a 30-minute break.
