Job Advert Role Description
Priory Hospital Hemel Hempstead offers a safe and supportive complex care and rehabilitation service for male and female service users with enduring mental health problems. The 38 bedded locked facility is split into three gender specific services and has a range of facilities available on site.
Also highly experienced in providing Huntington's disease and dementia care for those living with these neurodegenerative conditions.
With our consultant-led multidisciplinary team, we offer safe and supportive rehabilitation, aiming to work collaboratively with our service users adopting a holistic, patient-centred approach to provide the best quality care, improve the quality of their lives and help them achieve the highest level of independence.
Hemel Hempstead is split across three wards:
- Robin – 12-bedded female rehabilitation ward
- Dove – 15-bedded male rehabilitation ward
- Wren – 11-bedded male complex care ward

With access from the M25 and M1, Hemel Hempstead is in easy reach of London, Essex, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire. We have strong links with the local community and provide easy access to the local amenities, including a gym, shops, a leisure and entertainment centre, local parks, market, cafés, churches, local college and a museum.

- RMN Qualified
- NMC (Nursing & Midwifery Council Registered)
- Knowledge of the Mental Health Act
