With community-based residential care settings, as well as a network of supported living services, we support adults over the age of 18 with autism, dementia, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) and behaviours that challenge. We also offer a range of residential and nursing care settings for older people with varying levels of need.

Responsibilities

You will be required to oversee all aspects of the kitchen and food preparation within the home. Creating and developing new menu items. Ensuring high quality food preparation and taste at all times. Manage inventory and control food costs. Responsible for supervising the kitchen staff and weekly Rota within budgeted hours available. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment that adheres to all health & Safety regulation and current policies.

Experience & Qualifications

You will hold a minimum catering qualification of 706 1 and 2 or equivalent, and have proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role, in a catering or Care Home setting. Having extensive knowledge of culinary techniques and practices, current health and safety regulations. Ideally having a strong skill set and regards to nutrition and modified dietary requirements for elderly care. Adept at strong Leadership and Management, with an ability to work in a fast paced environment and having excellent  communication and interpersonal skills.
