Job Advert Location Description

Orchid Lawns Care Home is located in the village of Steppingley, in Bedfordshire. Our home offers specialist nursing and dementia support for 24 adults, with 24-hour input from registered nurses. We can also offer end of life/palliative care and respite services.

The home offers a specialised Dementia Plus service, which supports people who have dementia who may have complex support needs. Our goal is to support resident to live an active and fulfilled life, with the support of a highly trained nurse-led staff team.

In addition to supporting adults with dementia, we can also assist those who have a range of other conditions, presentations and needs. This includes:

  • Mental health conditions such as schizophrenia
  • Difficulties with communication
  • Behaviours that challenge
  • Parkinson’s disease
  • Alzheimer’s disease

Are you a caring and creative person who is passionate about making a real difference to someone’s life?.

Both personal care and participation in activities are key parts of the Support Worker role, so energy, excellent communication and organisational skills are vital.

Previous experience as a Care Assistant or Support Worker would be beneficial, however it is not essential; all we ask is that you have a willingness to learn and the compassion to care for the people we support.
