Job Advert - Division Information

Priory Hospital, Woking provides private acute mental health and addiction services (inpatients and day patients), and run extensive private outpatient clinics.

We are looking for an organised, motivated and efficient individual to join our busy ward team as a Ward Clerk. As Ward Clerk you will provide effective administrative support to the wards and senior clinicians. 

Main Duties:

Maintaining patient files and notes ensuring accurate record-keeping
Maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with the Data Protection Act & Priory Group policy
Prepare admission packs
Document information in accordance with record-keeping and Information Governance standards
Use Patient Information Systems to update patients records as appropriate
Obtain patient records from other hospitals as required
Assist in other clinical areas of the hospital as required

Required Skills:

IT Literacy - a good understanding of Microsoft packages
Strong verbal and written communication skills - the role often involves liaising with various departments in the hospital, patients, families and medical staff
Attention to Detail - accurate record-keeping and meticulous attention to detail are vital

We want you to flourish in your new role so training will be provided. In addition, further training for the Healthcare Industry is given with some mandatory classroom training also.
