Job Advert - Division Information

We are seeking a dynamic and clinically experienced DBT therapist to lead our growing DBT team. The individual will have excellent knowledge of DBT practice and theory, with the ability to independently plan and facilitate DBT group sessions to the highest standards. The individual must be enthusiastic, passionate about evidenced based practice, and interpersonally skilled in order to manage a complex and demanding outpatient clinical programme. A positive attitude, groundedness, resilience and leadership skill are critical for this exciting and demanding clinical programme. 

The individual will carry out DBT pre-programme assessments, hold pre-commitment sessions, support with pre-and-post outcome measures, attend monthly meetings with our central and regional teams, and hold overall responsibility for the operational running of the programme. Additionally, the successful candidate will hold primary responsibility for the clinical effectiveness of the programme, ensuring adherence to NICE guidelines. 

We are happy to consider candidates who may not fit the above criteria but who must hold the interpersonal qualities listed above. Substantial support will be in place from senior managers and regular supervision in addition to a team weekly consult provided. 

You must be BACP accredited. We will be happy to consider and support applicants working towards accreditation within a reasonable time frame.
