Job Advert Location Description

The successful candidate will deliver an efficient and high quality front of house and reception service, ensuring that all patients, suppliers, visitors and staff are greeted in a pleasant and courteous manner and that all calls into reception are dealt with promptly and efficiently within Priory Operational Standard's. You will be required to maintain a high level of confidentiality adhering to priory Operational standard's. 

The hours of work will be 25hrs per week, working Monday to Friday 15:00 - 20:00, the successful candidate maybe required to work the occasional weekend. 

Administration: 

  • Complete any administration tasks as required
  • Arrange patient/staff transport when required
  • Guest/contractor/supplier sign in documentation
  • Ensuring the correct visitor/security paperwork is completed

Front of House:

  • Answering phone calls and dealing with any queries that may arise whilst also signposting  the caller in the right direction to respective departments
  • Booking in visitors, families and professionals visiting the hospital
  • Redirecting and handling mail. Assist with deliveries ensuring no risk items 
  • Ensuring the Reception area is maintained to a clean, tidy and professional standard

Forensic/Secure Services:

  • Provide cover to manage staff entry and exit from the building 
  • Check and support section 17 leave and the patients exiting the building.


Any other ad-hoc duties requested by management or staff, such as:

  • Handovers to other Receptionist (if applicable) to ensure correct and up to date information is relayed and passed on at the end of your shift
  • Ensuring the correct insurance, CQC and Ofsted (if applicable) certificate are up to date
  • Liaising with the Ward if any incoming calls coming in that are patient or ward specific
  • Ensuring up to date forms and policies are being used within the Reception department
  • To provide support to the wider team and site as and when needed

 

 

Job Advert Role Description

The successful candidate ideally will have knowledge of administration tasks and have the relevant skill set in order to deal with fast incoming tasks and duties.

Communication within the role is vital and plays a big part in your daily tasks. Within your role, you will speak with patients, colleagues from all departments, managers and third parties.
