Job Advert Role Description

Kemple View is situated in the beautiful Ribble Valley.  It provides low secure and rehabilitation and recovery services to 90 male patients. We strive to provide high quality care to all of our patients and received a rating of Outstanding in all five areas by the CQC in August 2019. 

Our treatments are recovery focused and provides by an experienced multidisciplinary team.  We offer a range of specific therapeutic programs and a range of occupational therapy activities, both hospital and community based. 

We are looking to recruit a number of motivated and conscientious individuals with an interest in Mental Health to join our Independent Hospital Manager team. Independent Hospital Managers (HMs) are a panel appointed specially to look at whether detained patients should be discharged from the Mental Health Act detention. HMs are accountable to the Hospital. You are required to provide your own indemnity insurance for this role.

Tasks would include:

Quarterly Meetings
Review of Section Papers
Sit on Managers Hearing Panel
Visit Wards to speak with Service Users
Experience we are looking for:
Working with the Mental Health Act
Previous work within the social work/AMHP or legal sector, or a particular interest or experience with working in mental health services is a benefit.
