With community-based residential care settings, as well as a network of supported living services, we support adults over the age of 18 with autism, dementia, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) and behaviours that challenge. We also offer a range of residential and nursing care settings for older people with varying levels of need.

Bannister Farm Cottage is located in a pleasant neighbourhood on the outskirts of Leyland, Lancashire. Our home offers support to 5 individuals with Autism and Learning Difficulties between main hours and 2 self-contained annexes where individuals are supported on 1:1 and 2:1 basis.

We are excited to be recruiting for a Deputy Manager to join us and lead our dedicated team in the provision of exceptional care for those living with us.
About the role
As a Deputy Manager you will be leading on a variety of tasks, including:
Meeting general care needs and holding responsibility over assessment, planning and implementation of support for service users. Providing active support with new admissions and discharges.
Encouraging our services users to live as independently as possible, while supporting them in building their life skills.
Ensuring all reports and records are compliant and maintained accurately, following good practice and organisational/legislative requirements.
Supporting with day to day supervision of the service, including rota planning, recruitment, induction and retention of colleagues. Leading by example while fostering a culture of honesty and openness. Acting as main point of contact in the absence of the site manager.
Working as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team and building important connections and relationships with other specialists.
Work both in the office and the floor, not just supernumerary flexible to work some evenings and weekends.

About you
Experience: Previous experience gained in a Deputy Manager or Team Leader role in specialist residential care settings.
Qualifications: Willing to work towards a Level 4 or 5 qualification in healthcare
Leadership: You understand how to best lead and support your colleagues while caring for your service users in a proactive and person centred way. Your organizational and communication skills are second to none.
Initiative: You show confidence when making autonomous decisions and dealing with challenging behaviours that autism can present.
Team work: As a true team player, you understand the importance of developing collaborative relationships with colleagues and other teams
Continuous improvement: You are committed to your own personal development and that of your team, and you show this by seeking opportunities to upskill and grow.
Adaptability: You show professionalism, flexibility and a strong commitment to a high standard of delivery even in high-pressure situations.
