Job Advert Role Description
The Priory Hospital Nottingham is a 14 bedded unit which provides inpatient treatment for NHS patients with acute mental health issues. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our existing staff team. We have recently been awarded 'Outstanding' in our last CQC Inspection and have also recently achieved the AIMS award.
We are currently looking for a Part-time Mental Health Occupational Therapist to co-ordinate our inpatient programme.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Occupational Therapist with a BSc in Occupational Therapy, RCOT membership and be HCPC registered.
There will be a requirement to work with patients on a one-to-one basis, and in groups.
To be professionally and legally responsible for all aspects of own work, ensuring a high standard of patient centred care for the service users under your management.
To undertake a range of assessments and outcome measures which have a focus on the recovery pathway.
Being an effective team member with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
As a member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) contributing to risk assessments, attend ward rounds and CPA meetings where you will feedback on service users' progress.
The role will also involve Line Management responsibility for an Activities Co-ordinator.
