We are looking for bank Catering Assistants to join our busy Catering Team to deliver a high quality service to our patients, staff and visitors through the creation, presentation and delivery of meals.

The Ayr Clinic is made up of a well-established 36 bedded low secure hospital, and two specialised step-down facilities for men and women with mental illness and/or personality disorder. 
The Ayr Clinic is situated in the coastal town of Ayr in West Central Scotland. Ayr Clinic is a Forensic Low Secure Hospital, Priory Group in Ayrshire, a distinguished facility dedicated to providing specialised care and rehabilitation for individuals with complex mental health needs within a secure environment.

The Role

In line with the company’s catering policies and procedures, the successful candidate will support the provision of the catering operation, assisting with basic food preparation and hygiene.

As a Catering Assistant you will ensure patients, staff and visitors are offered tasty and nutritious meals which are prepared to a high standard. You will have excellent communication skills, basic IT skills and be flexible and adaptable in your role. 

We’ll expect you to listen, be kind and do everything in your power to help us hit the highest standards.

In your role your will be required to support the provision of the catering team assisting with basic food preparation and hygiene.

You will need:

Basic numeracy and literacy skills
An appreciation of basic food hygiene. 
Enthusiasm and energy
Flexibility and strong “can do” attitude
Previous experience in catering together with a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is ideal but not essential

Full UK driving license is desirable but not essential.

Full training will be provided
