Job Advert Role Description

Priory Hospital Bristol is part of the Healthcare Division of Priory Group and has 77 beds over seven wards including Eating Disorders, Acute Mental Health, PICU, Rehabilitation and Recovery, Addiction treatment and general psychiatry.

We are looking to employ either a full time or two part-time enthusiastic occupational therapy assistants to work across an acute ward and an eating disorders ward.

You will be working alongside an occupational therapist and other members of the multidisciplinary team, supporting therapeutic goals and improving the care and lives of individuals. This will be facilitated via individual and group-based interventions.

Under the guidance of the occupational therapist, you will be involved in proactively planning and delivering therapy groups on the ward, encouraging involvement, and helping with developing practical skills and social interactions. You will also be responsible for effectively and accurately updating clinical records and computerised information, in a timely manner.

Essential skills required:

- Compassion for others

- Good communication skills

- Good computer skills

- Confident in facilitating groups

- Ability to adapt in a busy environment

Desirable experience:

- Experience of working in a health and social care setting
