Job Overview

This is an exciting new role to support our growing nursing development team in supporting with the administration behind our nurse development programmes.

To support the administrative functions of the professional nursing team and development programmes for nurses. Fully funded through nurse placement income which is ring-fenced for the improvement of placement experience.

This role is offered Part Time 22.5 hours per week (3 days per week), and initially on a 2 year fixed term contract.

The Placement and Nursing Administrator will provide full administrative service, having daily contact with a wide range of staff at all levels.

  • To provide comprehensive and efficient secretarial support; this will include handling aspects of correspondence, including dealing with email and telephone enquiries.
  • To support a range of Nursing Practice meetings – organising and facilitating relevant meetings, travelling to attend in person where and when required.
  • Preparing agendas and taking clear and prompt minutes; maintaining accurate action logs
  • To manage the coordination of meetings and invites for nursing practice meeting and other nursing development sub-groups as necessary;
  • To support with preparation of presentation materials using appropriate Priory templates, in line with Priory guidelines;
  • Preparing reports for nursing professional development programmes in a requested timeframe
  • Create and oversee surveys within the team
  • Provide oversight to Student Nurse Placements across the organisation, supporting to build capacity across both our health and social care settings.
  • Support with the administration of student nurse placement funds through NHS England and Higher Education Institutes.  

Knowledge & Experience:

  • The role holder should be educated to GCSE or equivalent standard, with excellent typing skills and a strong level of proficiency for the standard range of office applications.
  • The post holder will require strong communication and relationship building skills and very good attention  to detail.
  • Skilled and confident in the use of new technologies is preferred
  • The role holder will have demonstrable previous experience working as a supporting administrator within   a commercial environment in a generalist or in a specialist role, ideally in the private healthcare sector.

Working Environment: 

Working remotely 3 days per week. It will also require travel to in-person meetings, which are arranged in advance.
