Chef

Priory is the leading provider of specialist mental health services in the UK and is looking to appoint a chef for the Ayr Clinic's 8 bedded community residential service at the Gatehouse in the town of Ayr. 

The post-holder will assist with the provision of the catering service at the Gatehouse, with particular emphasis on the planning, preparation, cooking and serving of meals.

Key Accountabilities for the role holder will include:

Undertakes the planning, preparation and cooking of meals, taking account of any special requests or dietary requirements within the unit.

Ensuring operational standards are met with regards Assured Safe Catering policies and guidelines.

Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area.

The post-holder holder will be expected to work flexibly for 37.5 hours per week on 5 days over 7 days.

Candidates for the role are expected to a relevant vocational qualification in catering or equivalent training, together with a qualification in food hygiene and will have experience of working in a professional kitchen environment.
