Job Advert Location Description

Charnwood Lodge is located in Nanpantan, Loughborough, in a semi-rural location, surrounded by beautiful countryside. The service is a specialist residential home which provides support to up to 17 individuals who are on the autism spectrum, have a learning disability or mental health needs, including those who have a dual diagnosis.

Our team are dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of the people we support, helping them to achieve positive outcomes. We want to help each person we care for to have a better quality of life, promoting independence and daily living skills, so they can feel part of their local community.

Our residents may have other conditions, presentation and support needs, which may include:

  • Difficulties with communication, including those with limited communication or who are non-verbal
  • Mild to moderate behaviour that may challenge
  • Epilepsy
  • Diabetes
  • Dysphagia

Both personal care and participation in activities are key parts of the Support Worker role, so energy, excellent communication and organisational skills are vital.

Previous experience as a Support Worker or Care Assistant would be beneficial, however it is not essential; all we ask is that you have a willingness to learn and the compassion to care for the people we support.
