Job Advert Role Description

Set within a safe and therapeutic environment, the Priory Hospital Dewsbury is a 32 bedded locked service, supporting two different service user groups:
• Hartley Ward is a 16 bed ward that focuses upon the active rehabilitation of men with mental health issues. The emphasis is upon stabilising mental health, reducing risks and enhancing independent living skills, with a view to reintegration into the community. 
• Jubilee Ward is a 16 bed ward that supports men with dementia, and behaviours that challenge

The Priory Hospital Dewsbury has an opening for an Activities Co-Ordinator.

The activity co-ordinator is a healthcare professional who creates and coordinates enrichment activity programmes for our residents. 

There’s no such thing as a typical day in Occupational Therapy, with a range of activities on offer, you might find yourself running a trip to the cinema on one day, and leading a messy painting session the next! The possibilities are endless, and anyone with a creative mind and interest in patient care will thrive in this role.

We also welcome applications from Occupational Therapist trainees and those with previous experience in patient therapy. It is an exciting time to join us here at the Priory, and every member of the team makes a real difference to the lives of our patients.
