Job Advert Role Description

Priory Hospital Barnt Green is a brand new service is located less than two miles from M5 junction 4, about 10 miles South West of Birmingham City Centre with great transport links to the wider West Midlands area.

Priory Hospital Barnt Green is located in the stunning Lickey Hills Country Park, 10 miles south of Birmingham City Centre. We have thirty-three beds across three wards including a ten bedded female NHS Psychiatric Intensive Care, a thirteen bedded mixed gender NHS acute service, and a bedded private acute ward beds for both men and women. In addition to providing inpatient services, the hospital has a large Outpatient department and regional conference facilities.

The hospital opened in March 2022 and this is a fantastic opportunity to join a new and developing team, in a brand new hospital located in a beautiful setting.

Priory Hospital Barnt Green currently holds an Inadequate rating from the CQC. The hospital now has an all new experienced Senior Management Team and we are looking for nurses who want to be part of our journey to ‘Outstanding’ and who put patient care at the forefront of everything they do.

 

In this role of Registered Mental Health Nurse you will

• Deliver high quality, service users focussed care
• Participate in the development of new services and care pathways
• Support the local implementation of the Group Nursing Strategy
• Engage in continuous quality improvement within your service

We are looking for Nurses who have

• An active NMC PIN with 12 months post qualifying experience
• Relevant clinical experience
• Demonstrates a positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement and quality
• Ability to develop and use flexible and innovative approaches to practise.
• Excellent verbal , interpersonal and written communication skills

Pay enhancements (see below)

Additional 50% for over time hours worked
Additional 15% for nights worked between Mondays and Fridays
Additional 15% for days worked on Saturdays and Sundays
Additional 20% for nights worked on Saturdays and Sundays 

 

Our shift patterns are

Day shifts - 7.30am to 8pm

Night shifts - 7.30pm to 8am
