Job Advert Role Description

The Priory Hospital Preston has established an excellent reputation for offering calming and recovery focused residential treatment for up to 38 service users, this will increase by an additional 12 service users from Autumn 2024.

Due to the up coming expansion of our hospital an exciting opportunity has a arisen for two full time Chefs to join a great catering team.

The focus of the role is to assist with the provision of a catering service within Priory Hospital Preston with particular emphasis on the planning, preparation, cooking and serving of meals. As part of the catering team, you will ensure that the kitchen and associated areas meet operational hygiene standards.

All Chefs are required to supervise catering staff ensuring their quality of work. Take full shift responsibility for the catering operation in the absence of the Head Chef, assisting in the research and creation of new menus.

Applicants will have at least two year’s experience of working within a professional kitchen; an NVQ2 or equivalent or qualified by experience in catering together with a basic qualification in food hygiene.

The successful candidates will be required to work a 2 week shift pattern of 5 over 7 days to include weekends on a rota basis.
