Job Advert Role Description

Priory are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Clinical Lead for the Priory Wellbeing Centre Oxford to join our team of highly experienced Therapists and Psychiatrists to provide their therapy expertise and clinical leadership in conjunction with our Operations team. 


This role will allow you to continue to practice in your clinical role by holding a caseload, while also applying your leadership skills, experiences and interests to enhance and develop the clinical services offerings and governance provided at the Wellbeing Centre.


The Priory Group have a selection of Priory Wellbeing Centres across the UK offering exceptional outpatient treatment for a range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, stress, eating disorders and addictions, as well as a dedicated young people’s service. This role will also have a strong link with the clinical leads of the other Wellbeing Centres, allow for great clinical support as well as collaborative clinical innovation work.


We are looking for an experienced clinical leader and clinician with strong evidence based training and knowledge acquired in an acute mental health setting. You will be an accredited therapist or HCPC Registered Psychologist.


The post holder will spend 0.4 FTE (equivalent to 2 days a week) focused on providing clinical leadership and 0.6 FTE (equivalent to 3 day per week) in holding a clinical caseload. 


In addition to your specialist therapeutic competence, you must have excellent organisational and communication skills; and be conscientious with regard to report writing and keeping patients' records.

• The post holder will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and overseeing clinical standards of all clinical staff within the service including the implementation and management of a supervisory regime that meets statutory and regulatory compliance.

• The post holder will be involved in supporting the Centre Manager in the development of existing and new clinical services offered at the wellbeing centre.

• The post holder will ensure that our services are provided in a way that is consistent with our values, supporting and promoting an organisational culture that values: compassion, accountability, respect, excellence, and innovation.

• The post holder will hold a clinical caseload, including some of the complex cases referred and ensure a high standard of Clinical Governance is offered at the Wellbeing Centre
