With community-based residential care settings, as well as a network of supported living services, we support adults over the age of 18 with autism, dementia, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) and behaviours that challenge. Dalton Court is a purpose built care home providing a friendly and companionable place to live for older people requiring general or specialist dementia nursing care. Located in the heart of the Lake District, the home offers a supportive environment with individualised bedrooms and comfortable lounge areas.

We do and we are passionate about providing excellent residential, nursing and dementia care and support to older people with varying levels of need. As a care assistant, you will have the opportunity to be part of 1000s of stories of inspiring care and support for our residents.

The quality and appearance of our services create the first impression for service users and their families and our Maintenance teams take huge pride in maintaining our buildings to the highest possible standards. As a Maintenance Assistant, you will have the opportunity to contribute to this by working hard to maintain the fixtures and fittings of our buildings.

As well as undertaking regular inspections of buildings, equipment, fixtures and fittings, you will also carry out the completion of routine and unplanned maintenance operations, ensuring minimal disruption to the service and compliance with operational standards and statutory regulations.

Previous experience in building and grounds maintenance
Full, clean driving licence
Committed and enthusiastic
Able to use own initiative
Excellent organisational capability
Effective communication skills
Flexibility and strong “can do” attitude
