Job Advert Role Description

Newcombe Lodge provides a unique package of care and support 24 hours a day and 365 days a year, for some of the most vulnerable Children and Young People age 13 - 18 in our care system.

Our aim here at Newcombe Lodge is to ensure that the Children and Young People we invest in have the best residential experience in a homely environment. Care here is individually tailored and we aim to make the experience as positive and beneficial as possible. We work hard to meet individual needs and truly invest in our Children and Young People’s future.

We are looking for dedicated individuals to join a well established waking night team. This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for those looking for a career working with Children and Young people.

You will be responsible for the supervision of Children and Young people who display a range of emotional, behavioural, psychological and other mental health problems and associated risk taking behaviours.

Shift Pattern - 22:00 - 08:00 

To demonstrate an ability to operate as a member of a team.

You will be required to undertake a variety of administrative duties which are pertinent to the running of the service.

To ensure clear lines of communication are utilised, promoting the welfare of the Children and Young people, including liaising with parents/carers and other professionals/agencies i.e.: Social Workers, Nurses and Psychotherapists

On successful completion of the Probationary Period, and if appropriate, the applicant will be appointed as a permanent Therapeutic Care Worker, which includes Key Working responsibilities. It is a mandatory requirement to complete QCF Level 4 upon completion of probationary period.
