Priory Hospital East Midlands is comprised of:

 

Sapphire Ward - female psychiatric intensive care unit (PICU)

Quartz Ward - an acute ward for females with a broad range of mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, stress, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), schizophrenia and personality disorders

Opal Ward - our new 9 bedded acute ward

Our wards offer assessment and treatment to females with a broad range of mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, stress, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), schizophrenia and personality disorders.

 

This service is dedicated to providing innovative, high quality care, which will enable patients’ recovery and re-engagement with the community.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Occupational Therapy Assistant to work with our Therapy Team on a full time and a part time (30 hours) basis. We provides acute and psychiatric intensive care services to those in need. We are dedicated to providing innovative, high quality care, which will enable patients’ recovery and re-engagement with the community. Our wards offer assessment and treatment to females with a broad range of mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, stress, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), schizophrenia and personality disorders.

The hospital currently comprises of 3 wards: with a total of 28 inpatient beds.

           

Your daily tasks would include any of the below;

-Support the rehabilitation of patients and their reintegration with the community

-Support patients to regain and advance on current life skills and activities of daily living

- Work under instruction from Qualified Occupational Therapists

- Facilitate individual and groups sessions with patients

- Update electronic patient records

- Be proactive, enthusiastic and encouraging with staff and patients

- Support with the development and creation of activity schedules and service line timetables.
