Job Advert Role Description

This is an exciting time to join the Priory North London Therapy Department. As the service grows, we are recruiting for sessional staff to support both our inpatient and outpatient services. We would welcome applications from individuals open to working evening or weekend shifts. This is a wonderful opportunity for an independent practitioner to work within a supportive team environment. Whilst our current demand is for on-site services, remote working is a possibility. Accreditation with a suitable governing body (HCPC, BACP, UKCP) is essential, as is the ability to manage risk and safeguarding. Details for each role below.

DBT practitioner
We have a robust DBT outpatient service which runs both on a Wednesday and a Thursday. You would work closely with the lead to continue to develop the service, acting as both a co-facilitator as well as a 1:1 support practitioner. If successful, you would have access to a well-developed DBT consultation process where you would receive free supervision from an expert in the field, taking place on Monday afternoons. This is a complex and highly rewarding service, and we welcome applications from individuals who either have formal training or are completing formal training in DBT.

CBT practitioner
We have a high demand for CBT therapy in both our adult and CAMHS outpatient services.  As part of this service, you would deliver 1:1 therapy for common mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and OCD. We have a number of experienced CBT practitioners on-site who would support you in this role.

EMDR practitioner
We would welcome applications from EMDR practitioners to support our patients who present with trauma.

Neurodevelopmental practitioner
Having recently launched an autism assessment service, we would welcome applications from therapists or psychologists who have experience in supporting autistic individuals post-diagnosis. We have a small, close-knit team who deliver the assessments and there would be an opportunity to support in this area as well. The service is growing rapidly and we welcome applications from practitioners able to offer specialized support in this area.
