Job Advert Role Description

The Priory Hospital – Altrincham is a 56 bedded hospital and is part of the Priory Group, leading provider of specialist treatment in mental health. The hospital has an established reputation for providing the highest standards of care together with an extensive range of clinical services and is a principle provider to the NHS in the north of England, focussing on positive holistic outcomes through full service provision

We are looking for an experienced Ward Manager (RMN Qualified) to work on our 15 bedded CAMHS specialist eating disorder inpatient service.

 

The successful candidate will provide Clinical Management and Leadership to the full nursing team; this includes being a highly visible role model and a mentor to the nursing team.

 

The post-holder will have responsibility for overseeing and maintaining the highest standards of nursing care. The role holder will act as a senior clinical member of the team, providing advice and support from a nursing perspective and will oversee and hold responsibility for the ward environment and its resources.

The post holder will work closely with our large multi-disciplinary team and be committed to providing quality patient focussed care, comprehensive risk assessment and working to the highest standards. The role holder will work alongside the hospital's senior management team,  be involved in the Clinical Governance and audit processes accross the hospital. Experience of working in a CAMHS setting and with eating disorders is desirable.

 

You will need:

• Registered Nurse (Mental Health) with a Valid NMC Registration 
• Recent experience working in a mental health setting
• Excellent communication skills
