Job Advert Role Description

As part of the Support Services team, our Chefs provide a high quality service to our service users through the creation, presentation and delivery of meals. Working with a team of Catering Assistants, the successful candidate will assist with the provision of the catering service with particular emphasis on the planning, preparation and cooking of meals.

We are looking for a full time cook to join our dynamic team, we always put the needs of our residents first so the successful person will need to be able to adapt to change and meet the needs of all our residents dietary requirements . A background in special dietary needs would be desirable but being willing to learn is required. The cook/chef will be an integral part of the team and will be required to work within the legislation in place to ensure safe handling of food. The successful candidate will  work to a high standard of hygiene and be able to meet all infection prevention controls within the service. You will work closely with our residents to ensure their views are taken in to account when menus are prepared so good communication skills are required. In turn you will have the opportunity to work in a pleasant and welcoming environment  and have the opportunity to develop you role within the service.

  • Level 2 diploma in food hygiene or qualified by previous experience in catering
