Priory Hospital, Marlow are looking for a Hospital Director in high Wycombe – Salary up to £72,000


Priory Hospital Marlow is a 14 Bed inpatient mental health service consisting of a specialist Eating Disorders Hospital for adults. We treat patients with a variety of disorders including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and atypical eating disorders. The philosophy of the hospital is one of collaboration and mutual respect. We work to create this atmosphere by listening to patient needs and adopting a flexible approach that allows individual needs to be met whenever possible. We adhere to clear, consistent boundaries whose rationale is transparent to patients, family and staff alike. We believe this sets up an environment of safety which allows trust to develop so that patients can explore feelings fully knowing that they will be empathically received.


The recently refurbished grounds and facilities at Priory Hospital Marlow have been tailored to provide a supportive and safe environment for patients in our care.


Our beautiful site and welcoming hospital environment help our patients on their road to recovery. Our stunning building comprises single-occupancy bedrooms with en-suite facilities, providing the utmost privacy and comfort for our patients.


What you need


We are looking for hospital director, ideally with a clinical background. Due to the size and stability of the hospital, we will consider people looking to step up so this could be your next challenge in your career.


If you have a background in the below areas, we would like to hear from you.


  • Extensive experience working at a senior level; preferably within a similar setting.
  • Seasoned leader, with operational and financial planning experience.
  • Experience of commercial accountability for cost control and financial performance.
  • Experience of making informed decisions sometimes in difficult circumstances.
  • Experience of leading a diverse team.
  • Extensive managerial & leadership experience with a thorough understanding of developing services for healthcare.
  • Strong track record of innovation and making changes to the operation to further improve the work environment and site performance.
