Deputy Ward Manager - You will be required to be a registered nurse, please only apply if you're a registered Nurse and hold a valid NMC Pin
Woodlands unit is a CAMHS Low Secure Unit (LSU) which offers therapeutic and rehabilitative services for young females aged 13-18. In addition to self harm, the majority of the young people we treat have other risk issues and complex needs including;
- Those who may have suffered childhood trauma
- Young people who present with complex PTSD, Attachment Disorder or emerging Personality Disorder
- Young people who have had multiple or long admissions to Tier 4 Acute CAMHS inpatients services.
Working as part of a multi-skilled, experienced, motivated and creative service, you will be responsible for contributing to the efficient and safe day-to-day delivery of effective clinical care and risk management of the young people.
• Assisting the Ward manager in providing management and supervision of a team of registered and unregistered staff
• Implementing best practice across the ward
• Supporting changes and positive developments within the service
• Responsible for the clinical direction of the service
• Support the delivery of therapeutic care to our young people.
• Assisting the ward manager in ensuring that care and treatment is provided meets the standards set by regulators.
• To co-ordinate the safe and effective running of a team on a daily basis, including managing the deployment of staff, in the role of senior nurse on duty.
