Job Advert Role Description
The Priory Hospital – Altrincham is part of the Priory Group, Europe’s leading provider of specialist treatment in mental health. The hospital has an established reputation for providing the highest standards of care together with an extensive range of clinical services. The hospital has residential facilities for 56 inpatients as well as day care and outpatient services.
The hospital is currently looking to recruit qualified Addiction Therapists to work on a bank basis supporting the Addictions Therapy Team during busy periods and to cover annual leave . The main purpose of the role is to identify and deliver appropriate and relevant treatments and interventions within a specific field of therapy, in order to promote and develop the mental, emotional, physical and social well-being of clients; liaising with families, carers and external agencies.
The post holder is expected to have experience of working in addictions treatment or the drug and alcohol field and it is essential that the post holder has BACP accreditation or can evidence that they are working towards this. Candidates who are currently studying for a level 4 Counselling Diploma and are due to qualify imminently will be considered for this role. Experience of 12-step philosophy is also essential. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate genuine commitment and enthusiasm for working with this client group and will enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
