Job Advert Role Description
We at Priory are seeking to recruit Support Workers based at our site in Charnwood Lodge, situated near Loughborough, LE11 3YG.
Charnwood Lodge is a specialist residential home supporting up to 17 individuals with autism and complex behaviour, who also present behaviours that challenge.
The Support Worker position is a busy role that provides a high standard of care and support to residents with learning disabilities, autism, mental ill-health and behaviours that may challenge.
It is a challenging yet very rewarding role, and no shift will be the same!
The shifts are: 8am - 3pm, 3pm - 10pm, 3 - 10pm and a long day is 8am - 10pm.
The Job
- To provide support with all aspects of personal care.
- Tasks involved with daily living such as maintaining a safe and clean environment.
- Support with cooking meals.
- Participate and initiate activities in and outside of the home.
- Provide support that will enable the service user to live as independently as possible.
- Creative and caring approach to build excellent relationships with the residents and families.
- Career progression is available and supported at Priory Group.
Location
This role will be based at Charnwood Lodge situated near Loughborough. Half a mile from Nanpantan Village and 3 miles from Loughborough University and the town centre.
For applicants that are not able to get to and from the service for a shift a pick up and drop off service can be arrange from either Loughborough town centre if travelling by bus and also Loughborough train station if travelled by train. This can be discussed in more detail during the recruitment process.
Charnwood Lodge provides residential care and support for people with learning disabilities, autism, mental ill-health and behaviours that may challenge. Due to the complex needs of those we support, many individuals require 1:1 or 2:1 support day to day.
