We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced fully BACP/BABCP/UKCP/HCPC accredited therapist to lead our private outpatient therapy provision for children and young people.
The role will include leading a small team of therapists with a range of different theoretical backgrounds and previous training and experience of supervising others is essential.
The successful candidate will have at least three-years post-qualification experience of working with children and young people with a range of mental health issues.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the oversight and provision of outpatient assessment and treatment for children and young people seeking both 1:1 and group therapy with our service.
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Oversee our private CAMHS outpatient therapy service provided to patients ensuring they receive appropriate care and treatment.
- Be involved in the continued review and development of our private CAMHS outpatient therapy service and to ensure that the service meets the relevant compliance standards.
- Ensure the effective management of the private CAMHS outpatient therapy team, inclusive of managerial supervision, the management of annual leave, sickness, annual Performance Development Reviews, and monthly team meetings.
- Be responsible for organising and prioritising own clinical workload (working at least 50% of their contracted hours as clinical face-to-face hours).
- Encourage and support the development of multi-disciplinary team work within the service.
- Join monthly Clinical Governance Committee meetings and provide a report on any progress updates, feedback, or development where relevant.
- Be available to support the Therapy Business Manager with specialist projects and clinical guidance where required.
- Ensure that own clinical supervision is accessed in accordance with professional registration.
Our service is based on a strong, friendly multidisciplinary team, with an emphasis on supporting our staff through regular supervision, staff support groups, and annual appraisals.
Good communication skills and a flexible approach are essential.
