Stockton Hall Hospital has a reputation for providing high standards of care and treatment to all patients.

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Recovery and Involvement Lead at Stockton Hall.  Your role will be to empower patients and educate staff on the importance of Service User Involvement at site, regionally and nationally.  You will have the drive and determination to enable the patients to have a voice about their current and future care and treatment.

The role involves taking the lead with all aspects of Recovery and Involvement for the patients including the well-established Recovery College and Service User Involvement forum across the hospital.

You will support patients to represent the hospital at the Yorkshire and Humber Involvement Network service user involvement meetings, Priory Service User Involvement and at the National Service user Conferences.

You will be responsible for supporting patients to complete Priory patient involvement questionnaires and surveys and the Yorkshire and Humber Involvement Network benchmarking tools including the regional Se-QUINs.

You will plan, facilitate and chair a range of service user meetings, as well as support patients to be represented in other meetings around the hospital such as Safeguarding, Hospital Clinical Governance and reducing restrictive practice meetings.

You will work alongside the Occupational Therapy manager to ensure that a recovery focus is embedded in all aspects of the hospital.

You will have previous experience of working within the field of mental health, and be passionate about the value of service user involvement and the recovery approach in care.  IT skills, particularly in relation to Microsoft publisher and excel are desirable, as is being a driver.  You need to be innovative, creative, well organised and forward thinking.
