Job Advert Role Description

We are looking to recruit an experienced and dynamic Head of Safeguarding and Named Professional for Adults. This established role within Priory works across our Healthcare and Adult Care Divisions and is focused on ensuring excellent practice at all levels of the organisation. The role is a specialist advisor to the Chief Quality Officer whilst also providing support to our network of divisional, regional and site safeguarding leads. The role supports our continuing programme of safeguarding training by guiding our in-house training team. They will work closely with the wider Quality Team to facilitate learning, develop practice in line with national legislative and case law changes. They will provide expert advice into complex cases, working closely with our Head of Mental Health Legislation.

This role gives the postholder an opportunity to work across all 4 UK nations and to be involved in shaping the safeguarding strategy and approach in a way that will fundamentally improve the lives of the 30,000 people that we support every year.

We are looking to recruit an experienced Safeguarding Professional who has worked within a Health or Social organisation, and who holds a relevant professional registration. The candidate will need to be able to work at scale, create meaningful networks and relationships, be able to identify risk and priorities for the organisation, escalating and developing solutions where needed.
