Job Advert Role Description

We are looking for an experienced children’s manager for our brand new service Lighthouse based in Stroud – Salary Up to £45,000 depending on Experience.

This is a specialist residential home for Children aged 13 – 18 with complex mental health and associated risk taking behaviours, and the clients and staff therein, as part of therapeutic and care services run by the Priory health division.

We already run the beautiful Newcombe lodge a short distance away in Bussage. This is what this new home is based on and we hope to replicate the success we have had so far.

The Lighthouse provides a unique package of care and support 24hours a day and 365 days a year, for some of the most vulnerable Children and Young people age 13 - 18 in our care system.

Our aim here at The Lighthouse is to ensure that the Children and Young people we invest in have the best residential experience in a homely environment. Care here is individually tailored and we aim to make the experience as positive and beneficial as possible. We work hard to meet individual needs and truly invest in our Children and Young people’s future.

 

We are looking for someone enthusiastic and passionate about positive outcomes. It’s also important you have the following;

• QCF Level 5 Children and Young people’s Workforce or equivalent 
• Experience managing a children’s Service
• Proven track record
• Driver
• Good knowledge of Children’s Regulations

Someone form a Mental Health Background is preferred, however, if you come from a different children and Young People setting, please get in touch. We want the right person for the role and are open to different career backgrounds.
