Priory Hospital Bristol is part of the Healthcare Division of Priory Group and has 77 beds over 7 wards varying from Eating Disorders, Acute Mental Health, Acquired Brain Injury, Male PICU, Huntingdon’s and Dementia.
We are recruiting an Addiction Therapist to join our Addiction Treatment Team at Priory Hospital Bristol. You will need to have some experience of working in the Drug & Alcohol field and an understanding of behavioural addictions. You will need to demonstrate you meet the Drugs & Alcohol National Occupational Standards (DANOS) by being an FDAP member or equivalent, you will also be registered with, and working towards accreditation with BACP, UKCP, or BABCP and have specialist training and/or CPD in addiction. The successful candidate will be working as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) providing in-patient detox and rehabilitation treatment in a Psychiatric Hospital setting.
The Addiction Therapy Team provide One to One Therapy, Group Therapy, and Psycho-Education as part of a robust programme for in-patients, day patients and out-patients. Understanding of addiction treatment models and evidence-based therapies such as MI, CBT, and DBT would also be useful.
You will be involved in delivering the Addiction Treatment group Programme and managing a case load of individual cases. Reporting to the ATP Therapy Lead, the successful candidate will be responsible for a caseload of 1:1 patients while also delivering groups as part of the ATP programme, including process groups and aftercare. You will be responsible for your clinical record keeping and be expected to maintain the highest standards of clinical and information governance
You will be working 2 Saturday per month, and be prepared to work flexibly with early and evening appointments and groups.
