Riverview is a residential service that provides personalised, high quality, safe support for 9 adults with complex needs including Autism, behaviours that challenge, acquired brain injury and learning disabilities.
Riverview was rated “outstanding” by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in October 2019 – placing it in the top 3% of adult social care services in the country.
Riverview offers a personalised living environment that we tailor to the specific needs of the individuals that enable individuals to improve their individuality in line with their Person-Centred Plan. At Riverview we offer person centred environments that consist of six self-contained flats all with en-suite bedrooms, own lounge and kitchen with two separate en-suite bedrooms. Riverview also offers individuals the chance to acquire skills by getting involved with daily tasks and activities, including cooking, swimming, cleaning and going shopping to enable them to live as independently as possible while being an active part of their local community.
Job Advert Role Description
Essential to being successful in this role you will need to
- Be flexible in meeting the needs of the individuals and the service.
- Manage stressful and challenging situations calmly by leading by example to ensure situations are managed safely and staff and residents supported appropriately.
- Make decisions on a daily basis.
- Understand the need for accurate record keeping and will at all times follow policy and procedures, support plans, risk assessments and relevant legislation.
- Take guidance and development support from Team Leaders and Management as well as support your team to ensure that a culture of learning and progress for the service is at the centre of our practice.
- Provide meaningful supervisions to your team and lead team meetings as required.
- Be comfortable taking on additional responsibility as required by management including your own area of accountability within the service.
You will be confident in;
- Understanding Autism and challenging behaviour
- Using a Positive Behaviour Support approach to supporting our residents
- Being responsible for and leading a team of support workers and key workers
- Administering medication
- Meeting with professionals both internally and externally
- Managing individual’s finances and the homes budget as required for the role in line with policy and procedures.
- Managing Quality Performance Indicators (QPI) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for the service.
- Audits and meet the actions assigned to you in a timely manner.
- Support the service in performance management and the disciplinary process as required.
- Shared learning from all situations and supporting the team to meet compliance and excel in delivering an outstanding level of quality to the resident of our service.
It will be essential that you have experience in a similar setting, and are able you lead a team to meet the needs of the individuals, you will also need to be able to use a computer and full clean driving licence preferred.
