Job Advert Role Description

An opportunity has arisen for a full time Activities Co-ordinator to work on Tatton Ward, 17 bedded NHS referral ward.

The successful candidate will plan, organise and carry out appropriate activities in groups or individually with the young people on the adolescent ward.  These activities will include escorting and supervising patients on trips and on other leisure facilities.

The Activities Co-coordinator will accept referrals from the Multi-disciplinary team and organise clients into appropriate groups following advice and discussions with the team as to the appropriateness of the activities for each client.

The Activities Co-ordinator will be responsible for reporting back to the team regarding the client’s progress and participation in the activities organised.  They will also be required to keep detailed and accurate written documentation of their caseload and patient activities.

 

The post holder will also be expected to have good interpersonal skills when liaising with members of the multi–disciplinary team, external agencies and organisations, patients and relatives.

There would be a degree of flexibility required in working times and some early evening and weekend work is anticipated.  Previous experience working in a mental health setting is essential.   Full UK driving license essential.
