Job Advert Role Description
Priory Group is the UK’S leading independent provider of mental health care and education services. We have an outstanding reputation both for the service we deliver and for the investment we make in our people and in our environment.
Set within landscaped gardens in Cheshire, Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal (close to Manchester) offers a range of complex mental health services, providing clinical excellence in our eating disorders, adolescent, rehabilitation, acute and PICU services. We use an eclectic model of care and intervention, drawing on a variety of evidence-based approaches.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Family Therapist/Systemic Psychotherapist to join our team, working clinically in our inpatient Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. Applicants must have Masters Level Clinical Training in Systemic Psychotherapy.
The ideal candidate will have some experience working with young people and families experiencing a high degree of distress and will be committed to working collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The role involves undertaking assessments and making recommendations for systemic work for young people as they move into other services, offering family therapy to individual families and supporting the team to think systemically in formal and informal contexts. You will be required to be HCPC registered
As part of a small, friendly team of family therapists there is the opportunity to work within a weekly family therapy clinic with a range of clients from across the CAMHS and Adult Eating Disorder services within Cheadle Priory. The small network of family therapists working in tier four services meet regularly to share best practice and to facilitate continuing professional development. Systemic supervision is provided monthly and there are regular opportunities for funded CPD.
