WE ARE LOOKING FOR TALENTED PEOPLE LIKE YOU!!
Knowing that you’re making a difference to people’s lives is rewarding in itself. But our many roles offer much more than that. As well as helping you grow and develop your talent, we want you to feel proud of where you work and what you do.
Job Advert Role Description
What are we looking for?
As a Registered Learning Disability Nurse/Registered Mental Health Nurse on Mersey Lodge, you will be key in supporting an adult with an Autistic Spectrum Condition diagnose and complex challenging behaviours to achieve their goal of living in the community. We are looking for positive, compassionate, and caring qualified nurses who have the right values and attitude to grow and develop within Priory Healthcare whilst leading a team of support workers.
The successful candidate will be engaged in a robust, person-centred training programme where you will learn new skills and be encouraged to explore continuing professional development opportunities.
This role can be physically and mentally challenging, therefore a positive attitude, compassion, resilience, and attention to detail are imperative. Working in a Person Centred way is hugely rewarding and empowers the person we support to achieve and reach their potential in life.
Who will you support?
I am a young man looking for a Registered Learning Disability Nurse/Registered Mental Health Nurse to support me and help promote my independence, so I can successfully live in the community.
I am looking for an individual who is calm, patient and skilled in verbal and non- verbal communication. I would also like my nursing staff to provide support within my apartment, especially with therapeutic and sensory activities.
I am focusing on being comfortable with people in my apartment, (which is in a hospital). I am interested in films and music, so I would like someone who can talk about those things. I enjoy playing football with my nursing staff and doing exercises, but sometimes I do like the environment to be quiet and I like to have my space.
Key Requirements:
- You must be an experienced RMN/RNLD holding a valid NMC PIN.
- Excellent team working skills, a high level of self-motivation and flexible approach.
- Committed and dedicated to patient centred care and to values-based and evidence-based practice.
- A positive and resilient individual who is able to empower themselves and others.
What are the rewards?
- Work life balance
- Birthday Leave
- Long Service award
- Wellbeing at work
- Employee discount scheme
- Access to Priory Healthcare’s unique training academy
- Company Sick Pay
- Flexible working hours
- Paid holiday hours
