An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Priory for a qualified Health and Safety practitioner to join our Central Health and Safety Team.
As Europe’s leading independent provider of Healthcare and Adult Care, we place great importance on the safety of our services. Working under the Group Health and Safety Manager, you will provide both a support and audit function across the two divisions and properties in and around Central and North East England. Your role will involve ensuring safety compliance within the Group and adherence to health and safety legislation.
Working as part of an enthusiastic health and safety team, you will use your experience, expertise and knowledge to complete site audits, compile and deliver health and safety reports and assist with the continuous improvement of the health and safety culture across the organisation. This will include the formulation and review of policies and procedures, the design of training media and the provision of reactive support as necessary.
Previous experience within the Health and Social Care Sector and/or the Hospitality Sector would be a distinct advantage, although not a requirement.
Health & Safety Advisor - All candidates must hold the NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent), as a minimum, with at least two years’ experience in a health and safety role. Experience of designing and presenting health and safety training sessions would also be beneficial.
A clean Driving Licence and willingness to travel, with regular overnight stays is also a requirement of the role, along with competent IT skills and the ability to compile suitable reports using word and excel.
