Our evidence-based treatment programmes are delivered by a multi-disciplinary team consisting of psychiatrists, therapists, mental health nurses, a dietician and a nutritionist, who work together seamlessly to ensure that our clients receive the very best treatment from the most appropriate specialist for their needs.
The Eating Disorder programme provides specialised treatment for a range of eating disorders including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and binge eating disorder (BED). We are also able to treat eating disorders that are more atypical in nature, known as ‘other specified feeding or eating disorders (OSFED)’, or ‘eating disorders not otherwise specified (EDNOS)’. Our evidence-based programme uses a combination of group and individual therapies and incorporates experiential elements to help people start the process of tackling their Eating Disorder in a safe and supportive environment. All individuals on the programme will receive full dietetic and nutritional support, including weekly reviews and an individualised meal plan.

Job Advert Location Description
As a member of the eating disorders multi-disciplinary team (MDT), to:
To practise as a dietitian you must be registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC). To have completed an HCPC-approved programme in dietetics, either an undergraduate degree or, if you have a degree in a relevant subject, an approved postgraduate course.
- Lead the dietetics service for the team, by developing appropriate service standards, care pathways and materials for the dietetics service, and contributing to MDT service development and evaluation with both inpatient and outpatient work
- Work as an autonomous dietetic practitioner to carry a complex inpatient, daypatient and outpatient caseload, using evidence based and client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions in service users. This includes pre-admission-assessment for any of the inpatient, daypatient or outpatient services.
- Liaise with Specialist Eating Disorder dietetic colleagues working in other areas of the eating disorder pathway within the Priory Group and its partners.
- Facilitate liaison with the catering team. i.e. food menu review, portioning, set up of special menus.
- Offer patient meal supervision and post-meal support and act as a role model to other staff.
- Organise and provide supervision and training for dietetic students.
- Support the service by providing information, education and training for all health professional colleagues as well as service users and carers on nutritional issues relating to eating disorders and mental health.
- Effectively undertake the development and delivery of dietetic groups. i.e. shopping group, cookery group, nutritional psychoeducation.
- Uphold the standards of the MARSIMEWS and NICE guidelines and foster positive working relationships providing specialist advice to colleagues and deliver care to patients with a diagnosed eating disorder.
- Identify and lead on clinical research, audit, quality improvement innovations and data collection priorities for the dietetic service provision on the eating disorders services of the Priory Group and its partners.
