About Our Hospital
Priory Hospital Lincolnshire is a 28 bed low secure service with two wards, situated in the Gainsborough area of the Lincolnshire county. It caters for male only patients detained under the mental health act who suffer from mental illness and related illness such as Personality Disorders etc.
The Role
We welcome your application if you have the skills, experience and passion for delivering innovative, safe and high quality services to adult males who experience complex mental health difficulties.
The role requires the individual to identify and deliver appropriate and relevant treatments and interventions within the given field of therapy, in order to promote and develop the mental, emotional, physical and social well-being of clients; liaising with family and carers.
To receive and respond promptly to referrals, undertaking assessments to determine and plan an effective therapy programme for assigned clients using appropriate and relevant treatments, activities and interventions.
Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions within the given field of therapy ensuring activities and interventions continue to meet the needs of the client, and are consistent with the provisions detailed in the client’s therapy plan.
To manage an assigned caseload within agreed timescales ensuring regular interaction and communication with clients, professional colleagues and clinical staff.
To maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the form of case notes, case files, clinical reports, computerised information systems and other associated documentation presenting and sharing relevant information and knowledge concerning assigned clients with professional and clinical colleagues at regular MDT meetings.
Leads and co-ordinates professional and clinical colleagues, providing psychotherapeutic advice and guidance, and assists with the analysis of statistical data and information for research and audit purposes.
The post holder will be a Registered Practitioner Psychologist with the HCPC and preferably a Chartered Psychologist with the BPS.
Regular supervision is provided to the successful candidate and there is a CPD programme available through the Priory Academy. Priory Psychologists are part of a large number of psychologists forming a supportive and psychologically informed community within the organisation.
