Priory Hospital Hayes Grove is a private 46-bed acute psychiatric hospital for adults, located on the edge of London in Hayes, Kent. The hospital provides care and treatment for patients with a wide range of Mental Health issues both as inpatients and day patients. Hayes Grove specialises in providing care for patients with acute mental health conditions, addiction issues - both drug and alcohol, and also has a specialist Eating Disorders unit. The hospital is situated close to excellent transport links to central London, Croydon and Bromley areas and parking is available locally.
Job Advert Location Description
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Counselling Psychologist with a range of specialised skills to help facilitate therapy groups and one to one therapy for inpatients, day care patients, and outpatients presenting with complex mental health issues.
This is a permanent part-time to full time position for which the successful candidate will have at least three years post qualification experience of working with a range of adult mental health issues.
The role will involve the facilitation of psychological, psycho-educational, and relapse prevention therapy groups, individual sessions, and the completion of assessments and formulation of treatment plans for a wide range of patients.
The successful candidate will be available for case formulations within inpatient settings and will work closely with Consultant Psychiatrists.
The successful candidate will have previous experience of working with a range of adult mental health issues, ideally with CBT, CBT-e, DBT, Schema therapy or EMDR. Candidates who are accredited in EMDR or Schema therapy are desirable.
The role holder will be required to complete 53% of their contracted hours as clinical hours.
In addition to their clinical responsibilities, the successful candidate may also be available to supervise a Trainee Psychologist and will be able to offer clinical supervision to two Psychologists at a similar or lower level within Priory.
The successful candidate will also be required to support the hospital with psychological debriefs after incidents, as required.
Full HCPC accreditation is required for this role.
