Llanarth Court Hospital is a 95 bedded forensic hospital providing a secure environment consisting of medium, low and open rehabilitation settings for men and women with mental illness and or personality disorder.
Llanarth Court Hospital have an exciting opportunity for an experienced RNLD/RMN to join the team as a Charge Nurse on our male low secure service.
The successful applicant would need to meet the below criteria:
- You wll need to have a RNLD/RMN qualification and have a minimum of 18 months experience as a Priory Staff Nurse or NHS Senior Staff Nurse.
- It is also desirable to have experience in a forensic setting, though a keen desire to work in this challenging field is necessary.
The charge nurse role will be to support the ward manager in managing our male low secure service with patient's under the mental health act who have a diagnosis of mental health, personality disorder and or learning disability needs. The role will require being a clinical lead and an understanding and knowledge of patient's needs is essential. You will need to demonstrate the ability to assess and teach junior staff and have good leadership skills. The ability to have a flexible, positive, team orientated approach is required.
