Priory Hospital Bristol is part of the Healthcare Division of Priory Group and has 77 beds over eight wards varying from Eating Disorders, Acute Mental Health, Adult Psychiatric Intensive Care, Huntingdon’s and Dementia.

We are currently recruiting two Senior Staff Nurses.

Walter is a 10 bedded mixed gender adult acute ward. We support NHS patients from across the country when in times of crisis. We admit people with mental health illnesses predominantly psychosis, depression, Personality Disorders and other diagnoses. Our usual length of stay runs from a few days to months and we support patients to return to their own communities with help from their home teams. We work as a multidisplinary team consisting of nurses, healthcare assistants, speciality doctor, consultant, psychologist and occupation therapy in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

Hillside is our 14 bed, mixed gender ward. It is a high dependency rehabilitation and recovery service with a focus on specialist Huntington's and dementia care. The environment is equipped to take patients who are in a wheelchair. Our nurses are trained in PEG feeding, wound care and catheterisation. 

The role includes leading the delivery of a comprehensive Patient/Service User nursing assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of person centred care in a collaborative way of both their mental and physical healthcare needs, maintaining the Patient/Service Users rights. Supervising Junior Staff and students. Working collaboratively with the MDT and maintaining a safe and therapeutic working  environment, keeping accurate records.

As the senior staff nurse on the unit you will take lead on the clinic management.
