Bannister Farm  is a full time residential care home for 5 adults aged between 21-31 with severe learning disabilities, Autism, communication difficulties, challenging behaviour and other complex needs. Bannister Farm is located in Leyland, near Preston.

As a support worker you will be supporting the 5 residents living at Bannister Farm with all aspects of their lives, including personal care, accessing the community, developing independent living skills, supporting with new experiences and reaching goals whilst developing confidence, self esteem and promoting empowerment.

Our ideal support worker will:

• Have a positive, enthusiastic, can do attitude with a willingness to learn and develop not only yourself but the people living at Bannister Farm
• Have a fun, caring and patient approach, and be able to work as part of a team to support the residents to achieve their daily plans and goals.
• Be flexible in your thought – things can change!
• Be willing to take part and support in activities both within the home and the community. – you don’t have to be able to drive to do this.
• Have a resilient approach, residents can display behaviours that challenge – full training and support is provided.
