Job Advert Role Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Psychologist to join us at Priory Adult Care!

This is a dual service role consisting of 5 hours at The Vines, Innhams Wood, Crowborough, TN6 1TE and 10 hours at Egerton Road, 18 Egerton Road, Bexhill on Sea, TN39 3HH. Mileage will be paid when travelling between the services. 

The Vines is a specialist residential unit comprising of 12 individual bedrooms and 2 self contained flats, which provides a step-down service for individuals who have suffered progressive neurological conditions or an acquired brain injury and we are a mid to long term placement. At the Vines, we provide 24 /7 support to all individuals by offering a flexible and responsive approach to our residents’ care. We celebrate and support what the individuals are able to do, when they are able to do so, whilst preparing for ways they can continue to excel as their condition progresses.

Egerton Road is located in Bexhill East Sussex, We provide specialist neuro-rehabilitation for people with acquired brain injury (ABI) and progressive neurological conditions (PNCs), As the Psychology lead you will join our multi-disciplinary team (at Egerton) which composes of an Occupational therapist and Assistant psychologist, you will also be working with an experienced senior management team and support staff. Our aim at Egerton is to return individuals that we support back into the community, via a programme of slow-stream rehabilitation

The post holder will identify and deliver appropriate and relevant treatments and interventions within the field of neuro-psychology, in order to promote and develop the mental, emotional, physical and social well-being of residents; liaising with family and carers as appropriate. The post holder will also provide leadership and support to other members of the Therapy team, ensuring therapeutic interventions are coordinated according to the needs of the service user's support plan. They will also be responsible for the Psychology Assistant.

The role holder will require a relevant Post-Graduate/Masters degree in Neuropsychology, and ideally QiCN/Practitioner Full Membership of the DoN, and experience of working in the neuro-disability field.
